- Studies and reviews the status of women
- Addresses critical problems facing women
- Recommends methods of overcoming discrimination against women
- Encourages women to become politically active
- Maintains a
clearinghouse of information,
including information on
where women can get help for themselves and their families, information about issues of
concern to women, and information about special
events and
programs
- Maintains the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame and
the Women of Tomorrow Awards. These events honor women and girls
who have made a significant impact on their community.
- Distributes publications concerning women's and girls' issues
- Maintains a web site that includes the most up-to-date information about women and girls
- Creating Maryland's first Women's Heritage Center (PDF)
